1968 Pontiac Parisienne Convertible RHD built in Canada

This image shows a 1968 Canadian-built Pontiac Parisienne convertible that was originally exported as a right-hand-drive car and sold new in New Zealand. The Parisienne was a full-size, rear-wheel-drive car built by General Motors’ Oshawa plant in Ontario, Canada, and the 1968 model was among the last factory right-hand-drive Pontiacs supplied to markets like New Zealand and Australia before GM ended RHD exports after that year. These cars shared much of their design and mechanicals with the Chevrolet Impala and Caprice of the period but wore Pontiac styling and trim, making them stand out on local roads in a sea of British and Australian vehicles at the time.
